I don't think that these kind of small forums need any kind of DDos or other protection. Forums are not PTC sites, so if the yhave some attacks, maximum you can't read ar post in 30-60 min, so you don't loose anything, so $1000.00 USD / month far not worth the price. EMS and other huge PTC forums also don't have DDos protection. Some black hats show that they can do it, but nothing else...
